OK, that pissed me off. Internet wingnuts are always claiming that Thomas Jefferson said, “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.”

Huckabee just attributed the same bogus quote to Abraham Lincoln, to loud applause, on Prime Time national TV at a major party’s convention and it’s a complete fucking fabrication.

But I guess attributing something to Thomas Jefferson or Abraham Lincoln sounds a bit better than attributing it to its actual author, Gerald Ford.
